Do You Eat
Breakfast?
It’s not a myth. Eating breakfast is an important part of attaining and
maintaining a healthy weight. The
morning meal enables your body to refuel itself after enduring an
all night fast of ten hours or more. By choosing not to eat breakfast, you may
be putting
your health in danger.
Greens First Meal®
assists in re-energizing your body’s metabolism and provides
sufficient amounts of energy and nutrients for you to jump-start your day!
Why Breakfast Is
Important
Many people trying to lose weight skip breakfast to save some calories.
Big mistake!
University of Colorado researchers found that people who skip breakfast are more
likely
to be overweight and have less energy. Eating breakfast, particularly if it
contains protein,
can hold off hunger for hours. Obesity Res. 10; 78-92; 2002
Don’t Fool
Yourself..."Fuel" Yourself
If your excuse for skipping breakfast is that you don’t have time,
here’s your answer…Greens First Meal® is
the
perfect instant healthy breakfast. It’s made in a minute and
fuels your body right through the morning. It’s the
ultimate fast food and so good for you!
The Dangers Of Too
Much "Animal" Protein
The importance of protein in a healthy diet is well known and widely
understood, however the amount one needs to stay healthy is not. Research has
shown that we don’t
need as much protein as previously thought. The recommended amount of protein
for adults has decreased by more than 50% in the last 20 years.
Research published in the
American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2008 shows the amount adults need is
based on weight not age. The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for protein
is 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight which translates to about 54 grams a
day for a 150 pound adult.
The U.S. Surgeon General’s
Report on Nutrition and Health in 1988 states: "The average man in the U.S. eats
175% more protein than the RDA’s and the average woman eats 144% more." Chronic
inflammatory conditions exist in millions of Americans who eat too much dietary
animal protein.
Benefits Of
Vegetarian Protein
"We now know that eating a low-fat, low protein diet high in complex
carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables will help you lose weight. Plant
protein is linked to lower blood cholesterol, lower rates of breast cancer,
lower risk of cancers of the digestive tract and, along with an active
lifestyle, result in a healthy weight." The China Study; T.Colin Campbell,
Ph.D., Professor of Nutritional Biochemistry; Cornell University.
Greens First Meal®
Uses Only The Healthiest Form Of Protein For Your Body
The Perfect Balance

Greens First Meal® uses only the healthiest form
of protein for your body. Our source is 100% non-GMO Brown Rice &
Vegetable Pea Protein. These are safe,
pure and easily digestible forms of protein that are readily absorbed by the
body .
Because of the recent
concerns about different sources of protein, Greens First Meal®
DOES NOT CONTAIN SOY. Also because of common sensitivity toward
dairy, it also DOES NOT CONTAIN WHEY/DAIRY.
Why Is Soy Protein
Not A Healthy Choice?
Although there may be some positive studies about soy in the past, recent
research indicates there are far more studies that are negative. Based on the
current research, we believe there is evidence to raise serious concern about
adding soy to our product. Therefore, the Greens First Meal®
contains NO SOY.
Scientific Research
On Soy
Research has found that soy may promote the growth of
estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells already present in a woman’s body. (The
Journal of Nutrition, March 2002.)
Soy protein contains a
natural chemical that mimics the hormone, estrogen. In 3 cancer research studies
that were funded by the National Institutes of Health at the University of
Illinois, William G. Helferich, who was the principal researcher, found that
estrogen-dependent tumor growth increased as the isoflavone content increased in
the diets
that contained soy.
Dr. Doerge and Dr. Sheehan,
who are research toxicologists for the FDA, reported that soy can generate
thyroid abnormalities. (Divi, Chang & Doerge, Biochemical Pharmacology, #54,
1997.)
In The Journal of Urology,
April 2003, it was reported that a chemical found in soybeans (genistein) caused
the development of abnormal reproductive organs and sexual dysfunction.
The scientific research by
Dr. Lon White of the Pacific Health Research Institute in Hawaii, reports that
regular servings of tofu (soy) causes accelerated brain aging that results in
accel shrinkage of the brain, cognitive decline (which is loss of thinking
ability) as well as manifestations of Alzheimer’s disease.
Whey/Dairy
Sensitivities
A research study that was published in U.S. Pharmacist, 1997, reported that 75%
of adults worldwide are lactose intolerant, but many of them have not been
diagnosed and are not aware that they should be avoiding whey and other dairy
ingredients and/or products. Typical symptoms of lactose intolerance may include
low energy, diarrhea, irritability, wheezing, nasal congestion, cramping,
stomach pain and/or excess gas.
